First exchange between MPs and the National Council for the judiciary
An initial exchange took place between MPs and the National Council for the judiciary (CNJ). After a brief presentation by the CNJ on its missions, institutional role and operating methods, discussions turned to the major challenges currently facing the justice system.
The issue of the shortage of magistrates was specifically addressed, as it is central to the proper functioning of the judicial system. Several possible avenues and levers for enhancing the attractiveness of the judiciary were discussed.
This initial dialogue marks an important step in the context of regular exchanges with national political bodies in a climate of trust.
