National Council for the judiciary

The creation of the National Council for the judiciary was enshrined in the Constitution by the Act of 17 January 2023 revising the Constitution, which came into force on 1^st July 2023.

The National Council for the judiciary ensures that the judicial system functions smoothly and independently.

The Act of 23 January 2023 on the organisation of the National Council for the judiciary also came into force on 1^st July 2023. The Council began operating from this date.
